Dr. Kourtney Lee, a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist, was born in North Carolina and grew up in a military family. Her family is originally from Providence, Rhode Island where she enjoys going to visit.
She loved the opportunities to meet new people and explore various cultures as she often moved with her family throughout her childhood. Dr. Lee has three siblings, two brothers and a twin sister. She is now happy to call Delaware home where resides with her husband, son, and dog.
Her educational journey began at The University of Rhode Island, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and minors in Chemistry and Leadership. Dr. Lee’s passion for dentistry led her to Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, where she obtained her Doctorate in Dental Surgery.
Upon graduating she commissioned into the United States Army Dental Corp serving soldiers and their families. Her career began at Fort Sill Army Base in Lawton, Oklahoma where Dr. Lee completed her one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency. Then she went on to serve at Fort Campbell Army Base in Clarksville, Tennessee. In addition to her clinical work Dr. Lee annually organized schools visits and oral health screenings for the pediatric community during National Children’s Dental Health Month. Her passion for pediatric dentistry led her being selected to train for the Army in pediatric dentistry residency at Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas.
Upon completion, Dr. Lee continued to serve military families as a pediatric dentist until she completed 10 years of Active Duty Service. Dr. Lee is a diplomat of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Lee enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
