We love to see children smile in the Kendall community! Our team at Main Street Children's Dentistry of Kendall has been helping kids have healthy, beautiful smiles for decades. Now some of our first patients are all grown up and bringing in their own children!

Just like it’s important to bring your child to a pediatrician for regular check-ups, it’s important to bring your child to a pediatric dentist. While many general dentists see children, only a pediatric dentist has completed the additional years of specialized training to diagnose and treat children from infancy through adolescence. As you can imagine, the dental needs of children are different than those of adults. Our team is trained to see children from age 1 through 18, and can help you with every stage of their oral health development.

Your Child’s First Visit to Our Pediatric Dental Office in Miami

Trust our team to make your child’s visit to the dentist fun! Our cheerful waiting room is filled with toys, puzzles, children’s books, even a Wii. Children can even bring their own DVDs to watch while they have their teeth cleaned or their dental work completed. There’s a television in every treatment room.

We’re experts at making children – and parents – feel at ease during their visit. We know that it can be stressful for children to go to the dentist for the first time. That’s why we take the time to explain in simple, kid-friendly terms what the dentist is going to do and how it will help keep your child’s teeth healthy. Our team speaks English and Spanish, and we welcome any questions you have.

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends children visit the dentist by age one. Small children can sit on their parent’s lap for the exam and teeth cleaning, and our children’s dentist will confirm that the teeth are coming in correctly. Plus, we’ll give you tips on how you can keep your children’s teeth clean and healthy at home – even if your child currently seems determined to keep his or her mouth closed!

Parents are welcome to come back to the exam area, and we’re always happy to schedule siblings for the same appointment time to make it as easy and convenient as possible for your children to receive the dental care they need.

Of course, children love our treasure box! At the end of their visit, they receive a prize for having a great appointment. If they don’t have cavities, they also receive a cavity-free diploma they can proudly show off.

Our Dentist Helps Children with Special Needs in Miami

Our experienced dentist is specially-trained to help people with special needs, including children with autism, Asperger syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis, and other developmental, physical, behavioral, or cognitive disabilities. When you call our pediatric dental office for an appointment, please let our compassionate team know of any special considerations – such as light sensitivity- and we will be happy to assist. We can also give you tips to prepare for the dental visit, such as bringing in ear buds or headphones to help block out the sounds of the dental office.

Easy and Convenient Dental Appointments

Main Street Children's Dentistry of Kendall is conveniently located on the corner of North Kendall Drive and SW 79^th Avenue, next to St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church. Self-parking is free, or you can pay $4 for the valet service.  The street address is 7887 N. Kendall Drive, Suite 200.

We’re open on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.. If your child has a dental emergency, please call us right away. We know that toothaches and accidents can happen any time, and can usually get you in to see the dentist on the same day that you call.

We accept most types of dental insurance as well as MCNA, Dentequest Healthy Kids, Sunshine, and Liberty Medicaid plans. We’ll call to confirm your insurance and alert you if there are any restrictions. We’re happy to work with out-of-network dental insurance companies if needed and can file claims on your behalf.
