Welcome to Main Street Children's Dentistry and Orthodontics of Perring Parkway, your friendly, affordable dentists
At Main Street Children's Dentistry and Orthodontics of Perring Parkway, it's our privilege to serve children in the Baltimore community. We specialize in treating kids ranging in age from six months old to 17, as well as children with special needs. Don't worry, if you’re bringing an infant to visit us, you can hold them during the dental exam. And, when you schedule an appointment for one child, we can also arrange for siblings to see a dentist during the same visit.
You’ll find us conveniently located at 8831 Satyr Hill Road in Baltimore, in the brick building behind Jerry's Chevrolet. For those who rely on public transportation, you can take the BaltimoreLink #53 bus, which stops near our office.
When Should My Child Visit the Dentist for the First Time?
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children see a dentist by their first birthday, since once a child gets one baby tooth, they can get a cavity. Our dentists will show you how to clean your infant's teeth and keep them cavity-free. Even though baby teeth are not permanent, you don't want your child to get cavities in them. Untreated decay can grow, causing your child pain, and the tooth could become infected.
We’ve found that children who see a pediatric dentist routinely from an early age are generally not afraid of dental visits. They view going to the dentist like visiting friends who offer fun games to play and give out prizes. By creating a warm and child-friendly atmosphere, our goal is to have our patients tell their parents that they can't wait to come back for their next checkup.
What Makes Us Unique?
Main Street Children's Dentistry and Orthodontics of Perring Parkway treats children exclusively, so our dental office is designed specifically for young patients. It's colorful and welcoming, with games, toys and televisions, just like the ideal playroom. Our mission is to make dental visits fun for children and stress-free for their parents or caregivers, and our doctors and staff treat everyone like family.
Our highly experienced team knows how to make children feel comfortable. We don't rush them; everyone takes time to explain what will happen and why. Our pediatric dentists always use age-appropriate language. For example, if we need to give nitrous oxide to a child (so they won’t realize how long a procedure takes), our dentists call it laughing gas because nitrous oxide can sound scary to kids.
In addition to providing exceptional dental and orthodontic care to our patients, we support local mission groups that visit underprivileged children and families in different areas and countries. We also participate in the Ronald McDonald House Charity Event. It's always been our privilege to give to those in need.

Our Doctors
Our pediatric dentists are specialists, meaning that they have completed the necessary training to properly treat children of all ages. Our focus is on the variety of dental problems that can occur when a child’s mouth is still developing. We also provide care to children with special needs, creating personalized care plans that ensure the comfort of the child and his or her parents. We utilize a team approach, working closely with parents, pediatricians, and general dentists to develop comprehensive care plans. To learn more about our kid’s dentists and services, please give our office a call.
Special Needs Dentistry
Our compassionate pediatric dentists have expertise in treating children with special needs. They use sedation when necessary to make the experience stress-free for your child, and will create a personalized treatment plan to meet your child's unique needs.
Orthodontics in Baltimore
We suggest that our pediatric patients have an orthodontic assessment around the age of seven. Orthodontists can spot any potential problems with teeth or jaw growth and begin treatment early in some cases to minimize the length and degree of treatment needed in the future. Our experienced in-house orthodontists offer a variety of orthodontic treatments, making it easier on children if they need braces, a retainer or Invisalign, since they can be treated at the same dental office they already visit regularly.
Affordable Children's Dental Care
We understand that cost is a concern for many parents and caregivers, especially when it comes to emergency care or braces. We accept many major dental insurance plans and our knowledgeable office staff will gladly help you with the details of your coverage. We accept major credit cards and can help you apply for the CareCredit healthcare credit card. We also accept the Smile Alliance Club discount dental plan. It offers significant savings on common procedures.
